Records are back, and despite being replaced by CDs in the 90s, and more recently digital streaming services, vinyl records have made a major comeback, although to many of us the format never went away!

In the most recent figures, vinyl sales, led by Taylor Swift’s “Life of a Showgirl” rose for the 19th consecutive year in 2025, growing by 8.6% to 47.9 million units. Total U.S. Physical Album Sales increased by 6.5%. In contrast, U.S. Digital Album Sales dropped by -15.9%.

2025 also say two albums in the U.S. sell 5 million plus units for the first time in a single year since 2014 - Taylor Swift’s “Life of a Showgirl” and Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem”.

Vinyl truly is the format that has refused to die, and whether its a nostalgia thing, or that the younger generation have discovered that vinyl is cool, there is no denying that the format has seen a resurgence in popularity, and here in Orlando, the largest record show in the state takes place twice yearly at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.

The Orlando Record & CD Show is a massive event, and it spins back to the Showgrounds from Friday, January 30 - Sunday, February 1, 2026, with over 200 tables loaded with the best selection of vinyl, and music memorabilia.
