The City of Oviedo wants you to design a logo for the newly created Arts and Entertainment District!

The City of Oviedo Public Arts Board has announced a Call to Artists for the creation of a logo to represent the Oviedo Arts and Entertainment District, a new initiative located within Oviedo on the Park.

Oviedo on the Park serves as a hub for community events, festivals, and performances, and the new district aims to further enrich the city’s cultural and entertainment offerings. To support the vision, the Public Arts Board is seeking a distinctive logo design that reflects the spirit of community gathering, local culture, and the energy of downtown Oviedo.

The selected logo will be prominently featured on white, reusable 16-ounce stadium cups—the designated open-container beverage cups approved for use within Oviedo on the Park. The logo will help identify participating vendors and provide a consistent visual identity for the Arts and Entertainment District.

The artist chosen will receive a $1,000 stipend upon signing an agreement granting the

City exclusive rights to the design. Artists must be 18 years old or older and reside in

the State of Florida.

Design Guidelines

• Aspect Ratio: Must be 1:1 or 3:2 (vertical).

• File Format: Initial submissions must be in SVG, PNG, or PDF. Final design will be required in vector format (EPS or SVG).

• Color: Designs must include both a full-color and a single-color version.

• Text Requirement: The logo must include the name "Oviedo Arts and

Entertainment District."

Application Requirements

To be considered, artists must submit the following:

1. A completed entry form (available on the City’s website)

2. The proposed logo design (SVG, PNG, or PDF)

3. A current résumé or CV

4. A one-paragraph artist biography

5. An artist statement describing the vision behind the logo

6. A proposed project schedule

How to Submit

Anyone wishing to submit a design can head to www.cityofoviedo.net and fill out the

form located under the City News Feed on the homepage.

The deadline to submit is end-of-day, August 4, 2025.
