Local residents can show up and grab two trees of their choice to celebrate Arbor Day.


The City of Oviedo is celebrating Arbor Day with it's annual Tree Giveaway

The City of Oviedo will celebrate Arbor Day with the annual Arbor DayTree Giveaway on Saturday, April 19, 2025.


During the annual “Arbor Day Tree Giveaway, ” the City’s Public Works Department will give out 600 trees. The trees include Crepe Myrtle (pink, white and lavender), American Elm, Southern Magnolia and River Birch.


All of the trees are three gallons for easy loading for the residents. A Budget Tree will hold a raffle during the celebration to deliver three larger trees. Anyone can register to win and A Budget Tree

will draw the winners at the event.

Photo ops for families will be available with the Oviedo Fire Department. The Oviedo

Public Works Department will be set up and the Water Conservation expert will be on

site to discuss ways to save water while giving out free showerheads, rain gauges and

much more!



The giveaway is for Oviedo city residents only and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Everyone will be asked to provide an ID for proof of residency and trees are limited to

two (2) trees per household.


The City asks for residents to plant responsibly and avoid planting trees in the easement

of their property.
