The City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board is looking for photographers to submit photographs for the 2024 City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board Calendar


The City of Orlando is seeking Photographers for the 2024 Historic Preservation Board Calendar

The City of Orlando has produced the popular Historic Preservation Board Calendar since 1991 and each calendar is an exceptional depiction of Orlando’s treasured historic resources with photos in each calendar selected from submissions from community residents as part of an annual photo competition.


The City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board is inviting photographers to participate in the 2024 Historic Preservation Board Calendar and photography competition, with the theme for 2024 being Lake Lawsona Historic District, encompassing the neighborhoods of Lawsona/Fern Creek and Thornton Park.


The Lake Lawsona Historic Districtan area that contains approximately 500 buildings that date back from 1911 to the 1950's.


To be eligible for the calendar, subject matter should be from structures that are at least 50 years old (generally, pre-1970), with Participants allowed to submit up to three photographs.


Winning photos will be selected by members of the Historic Preservation Board through blind judging, with a $100 honorarium awarded to each photographer whose picture is selected for the 2024 Historic Preservation Board Calendar, sponsored by McCoy Federal Credit Union.


Photographers have until July 10, 2023 at 5 pm to submit photographs.
