In honor of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, the Orange County Regional History Center offers a glimpse into some of the most fascinating and rarely seen items from the city’s history with our newest special exhibition, Orlando Collected.

Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

INK! is a rotating exhibition of the Contemporary American Graphics Collection featuring limited edition lithographs, etchings, etc at Orlando Museum of Art.

Before women’s soccer captured the world’s attention, the 17 athletes of the first U.S. Women’s National Team helped lay the foundation for the global success the sport enjoys today. Through striking portraits by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Randy Bacon, The 85’ers captures the authenticity, strength, and tenacity of these groundbreaking athletes. This pocket exhibit also highlights the team’s meaningful connections to Central Florida. While the team’s popularity has grown nationwide, the athletes’ numerous ties to the local community make their achievements even more special for fans in the Orlando area.

Experience an unforgettable evening of wonder and amazement as "The Magic Show," presented by America’s Got Talent finalist Drew Thomas, takes center stage weekly at Grande Lakes Orlando, anchored by two iconic, luxury hotels: The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott.

The pool symbolizes luxury and leisure in America, and it has been captivating artists since the 1950s with bright sunlight, vibrant colors, and modernist architecture. The exhibition features artists who emerged in the mid-20th century, yet their themes of pool culture, class, and leisure remain strikingly contemporary. This is further emphasized by the younger generation of artists reclaiming the narrative of the pool in relationship to family, like Amy Bennett and Isca Greenfield-Sanders, and within more social, environmental, and civic contexts, such as Derrick Adams, Anastasia Samoylova, Jay Lynn Gomez. These themes, so relevant to our lives today, will engage and connect with visitors at Mennello Museum of American Art.

Leu Gardens invite you to experience an extraordinary exhibit like no other, connecting the world of nature and art. Origami is the Japanese word for “folding paper,” making something out of nothing, taking a square piece of paper and folding it to create a beautiful object. ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN takes the folded object and transforms it into colossal metal sculpture that evokes wonder and imagination. The Orlando production of RIDE THE CYCLONE returns to Theatre South Playhouse for 15 performances in July and August. If you haven't seen it for yourself, now is the time. The Florida Prize in Contemporary Art is organized by the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) to bring new recognition to the most progressive artists in the State. Each year OMA’s curatorial team surveys artists working throughout the State before inviting ten to participate. One artist is selected by an invited juror to receive a $20,000 award. Artists range from emerging to mid-career, often with a distinguished record of exhibitions and awards that reflect recognition at national and international levels. In all cases they are artists who are engaged in exploring significant ideas of art and culture in original and visually exciting ways.

Osceola Arts is proud to present the works of Grace Kline at St. Cloud Library as part of the Art in Public Places Program. Kline has always had a love of drawing and art. As a child, she would make paper dolls for each of her teachers, then carefully construct their ensembles. Any available surface became her canvas – napkins, fabric, even the branches of a Century plant. She studied at Windermere Art Gallery and received a year of private instruction from a prolific watercolor artist. Kline participated in various workshops and classes in oil, pastel, and watercolor; and juried art events. Kline's preferred medium is painting portraits, finding it exciting to sculpt face and form with paint, as the subject comes to life.

The Fourth of July celebrations kick off at 6:15 pm in Universal Studios Florida. at the Music Plaza Stage. At the Music Plaza Stage, guests can vibe to a live DJ and meet their favorite characters, while stilt walkers decked out in patriotic attire will roam the park. Plus, don't miss the Universal Mega Movie Parade and CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular. A special fireworks show starting at 10 pm will fill the sky over the Universal Studios Florida lagoon. Access to these holiday happenings is included with park admission.
Universal CityWalk
In addition to the 4th of July Celebrations in Universal Studios Florida, CityWalk is hosting a Fourth of July bash too beginning at 5 pm. A live DJ and entertainmenet will take over the Plaza and Waterfront stages, with stilt walkers in red, white and blue keeping the crowds entertained.vThere is no fee to visit Universal CityWalk.

Come to Historic Downtown Sanford to celebrate Independence Day and enjoy free activities for the family and our spectacular fireworks display over beautiful Lake Monroe. The kids will really enjoy the Kids Zone, sponsored by Ladies 327, the enormous park playground, and the splash pad in Ft. Mellon Park.
