Hailing from Memphis, the Band Camino play an appealing blend of uplifting indie rock and lush, romantic electro-pop.

Behind independently released singles like the bright "2/14" and the soaring piano ballad "The Black and White," they became a major streaming success in the latter half of the 2010s, forging a path to their eponymous 2021 full-length debut on Elektra Records.

It made the Heatseekers Top Ten and the group spent the next two years touring, before returning with their 2023 follow-up album The Dark, this time topping that same chart. An EP, Bruises, arrived in 2024.

Friends since their high school days, Jeffrey Jordan (vocals, guitar), Spencer Stewart (vocals, guitar), Graham Rowell (bass), and Andrew Isbell (drums) formed the Band Camino in 2015 while attending the University of Memphis.

Taking influence from acts like the Killers, Walk the Moon, and Colony House as well as from the culturally rich heritage of their hometown, they self-released their debut EP, My Thoughts on You, in 2016 and found significant streaming success with both the dreamy title cut and the uplifting pop single "2/14." A second EP, Heaven, followed in 2017, around which time Isbell left the group, eventually replaced by Garrison Burgess. Basing themselves out of Nashville, the Band Camino continued their upward ascent, notching big streaming numbers with 2018 singles like "Less Than I Do" and "Know Me."

After signing a major-label deal with Elektra, the group issued the tryhard EP in 2019. Rowell left the band in April 2020 following sexual misconduct allegations, and the group slimmed down to a trio with Burgess taking over on bass. Ramping up to their next release with a series of singles, the Band Camino returned in September 2021 with their eponymous debut full-length, which made it to number five on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.

Throughout the front half of 2023, the group delivered a string of singles including the hard-hitting "Told You So" and "See You Later." These songs, along with "What Am I Missing?," anchored the Band Camino's sophomore LP, The Dark, which was released by Elektra in August of that year.

Improving on the success of their debut, The Dark topped the Heatseekers chart and made it to 112 on the Billboard 200. The band returned in the front half of 2024 with a three-song EP, Bruises, which included the glowing single "Nostalgia." ~ Timothy Monger
