Still Shucking after all these years; Lee & Ricks celebrates 75 Years serving Orlando!

Orlando's legendary Oyster Bar, Lee and Ricks have been shucking oysters since 1950!

Lee & Ricks Oyster Bar will celebrate its 75th anniversary of operation on Old Winter Garden Rd. this September. To mark the occasion Lee & Ricks will be offering $29.75 buckets of their famous oysters all month long.

Lee & Ricks opened in 1950 as a 9-stool establishment serving oysters. The front was the restaurant and the back served as the home where they raised their children. Today Lee & Ricks is operated by their eldest son and his family, continuing the tradition of this family run establishment. Vital to Lee & Ricks longevity is friendly personalized service, quality food and maintaining the reputation as a local favorite.

Having grown to accommodate more guest and an expanded menu, the stories of the "old days" are still familiar with patrons who have visited Lee & Ricks since the day they opened. For many of the regulars, they have grown up with Lee & Ricks and it has become a family tradition for special occasions and family gatherings. "I remember bringing whatever you wanted to drink and Lee would keep it cold for you in one of the ice boxes out front" is one of the stories largely remembered by the restaurant's early patrons. Today beer and wine are available to wash down your meal.

The world-famous concrete Shucking Bar, totaling 76 feet in length and seating up to 45 people is a spectacle of delight as oysters are individually shucked for your entertainment, as well as an assurance of their freshness. It is estimated that millions of oysters have been shucked at this bar so why not come by and help celebrate 75 years of memories.
