Sparrow Wine Bar and Lounge officially opens in Downtown Orlando

Downtown Orlando has a new place to relax and enjoy cozy vibes, eclectic wines, and handcrafted cocktails.

Sparrow, an intimate wine bar and lounge from James Beard nominees Jason and Sue Chin of the Good Salt Group has opened in the vibrant North Quarter District of Downtown Orlando.

Sparrow Wine Bar soft opened back on Tuesday, May 27, and is now ready to open the doors with a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, September 9, from 5 pm - 10 pm, featuring live msic by the Gerry Williams Duo.

This intimate space offers a unique experience for wine and cocktail enthusiasts, with a focused selection of New and Old World wines and a modern cocktail menu crafted by Good Salt’s beverage director, Lorena Castro.

In the kitchen, Chef Wendy Lopez draws on the culinary traditions of Southern Europe, featuring dishes like seafood conservas, jamón ibérico, and short rib ragù inspired by the flavors of France, Portugal, and Spain.

Overseeing the experience is veteran general manager Nicole Peters, ensuring thoughtful hospitality for both everyday dining and special occasions.

Guests can also enjoy Aperitivo Hours, a monthly High Tea experience on Saturdays, and exclusive wine dinners and chef collaborations, all bookable through OpenTable.

You can find Sparrow Wine Bar at 807 N Orange Ave, in Downtown Orlando, steps from Good Salt Group's popular Reyes Mezcaleria, Sparrow is a cozy new lounge experience inspired by the flavors of Southern Europe.

Regular opening hours are Tuesday - Thursday: 5 pm - 10 pm, and Friday - Saturday: 5 pm - 11 pm.

The intimate space features an 86-seat restaurant, with 68 inside, and space for 12 on the patio, together with a 6-person bar.

Reservations can be made online through OpenTable, with walk-ins are welcome at the bar on a first come, first serve basis

Sparrow offers free parking in the parking garage on Park Lake St., with valet service coming soon! The garage elevators take you to the lobby in the middle of the building. Head out towards Orange Ave and Sparrow will be to the left.
