Soco Thornton Park bids has announced that the restaurant is biding a fond farewell to downtown Orlando.

Executive Chef/Partner Greg Richie has revealed the news that Soco Thornton Park is closing for business on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The neighborhood restaurant has been a mainstay in the Downtown Orlando restaurant scene for almost 11 years since opening to critical acclaim in 2014, matching the lifespan of the space's predecessor, Hue.

The final day of service will be Sunday, May 25 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Ritchie is inviting customers to visit the restaurant for a last meal, to raise a toast in farewell, or to say goodbye to your favorite Soco team members.

Soco’s legacy was earned through its signature style of Southern Contemporary Cuisine and commitment to excellence along with hospitable, welcoming service.

Richie commented on the closure, "Sincere thanks and deepest gratitude to our wonderful guests and team members who have taken this journey with us over our many years. Countless friendships and memories were shared along the way. Though Soco is closing, its spirit carries on. We hope the camaraderie and sense of community will endure."
