S103.5’S Jingle Y’all will feature five of country music’s newest and biggest stars including Riley Green, Ashley Cooke, Zach Top, John Morgan, and a highly anticipated surprise guest that won’t be revealed until SHE takes the stage that night.
Riley Green has been compelling country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear, and, above all, celebrate where they are from, since his self-titled EP in 2018 debuted with Big Machine Label Group. His songs like the No. 1 PLATINUM hit “There Was This Girl,” the 2X-PLATINUM-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half of Me,” have made the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year synonymous with what country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel. Green secured his third No. 1 single “Different ‘Round Here (Ft. Luke Combs),” played to an average of 65,000 fans each night as direct support on massive tours for Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.
Ashley Cooke’s sun-kissed blend of two-lane pop country is on full display with her debut album ‘shot in the dark’ in the collection’s 24 tracks, inspired by true tales of love, heartbreak, and all the moments in between. Fully capturing the essence of a daring twenty-something growing up, chasing her dreams, and taking risks, Cooke infuses heartfelt lyrics, captivating melodies, and raw relatability as she invites listeners to come along for the ride. The striking debut has already garnered Cooke praise from Billboard who named her the July 2023 Rookie of the Month, with additional praise pouring in from People, American Songwriter, The Tennessean, and more. Cooke went on to be named MusicRow’s 2023 Discovery Artist of the Year and Next Big Thing and iHeartCountry’s On The Verge artist with her #1 hit single “Your Place.”
When contemporary influences expand country music’s parameters, you’ll hear, “country music ain’t like it used to be” as a common refrain. But 25-year-old ZACH TOP is reviving the spirit of ‘90s traditionalists like George Strait, Keith Whitley, and Randy Travis with classic vibes that evoke the dancehalls of Texas, the roar of the rodeo, and jukebox ballads with a cold beer in hand. There’s nothing more current than old-school country to ZACH, who grew up on a ranch in Sunnyside, Washington. He recalls rockin’ a Marty Robbins’ Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs cassette while riding out in an old Chevy pickup to feed livestock throughout his childhood. At the age of seven, he formed a bluegrass band with his siblings called Top String.
All through his teens and early twenties, he played in various bluegrass bands, including Modern Tradition (winners of the 2017 SPBGMA international band competition) with whom he notched a string of hits on bluegrass radio, including the #1 song “Like It Ain’t No Thing.”Honky-Tonk dreams took him to Nashville in 2021, where he secured a crucial publishing deal with Bob Doyle’s Major Bob Music. Since the move, he has established himself as an artist to watch, with his single “Sounds Like The Radio” topping the charts.
With a style that’s defined by melodic grit and a craftsman’s approach to songwriting, John Morgan brings a blue-collar toughness to country that’s pulled straight from the only life he knows. Hailing from a tiny town called Sylva, deep in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, John grew up immersed in bluegrass tradition and even toured the festival circuit each summer in a family band, before diving into songwriting, inspired by six-string legends from Tony Rice to John Mayer. Now, “a Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean), he has earned cuts with Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett and an outstanding 16 for Jason Aldean, including the superstar’s #1 songs – “Trouble With A Heartbreak” and the GRAMMY® nominated, ACM Single of the Year “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, along with Aldean’s latest single at country radio “Whiskey Drink” currently climbing the charts. Praised by People as an “accomplished songwriter…establishing himself as a solo artist intriguing enough to watch,” Aldean signed the sought-after, powerhouse artist “with guitar skills that will knock your cowboy boots off” (Nash News) to Night Train Records, his imprint with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Morgan made his Grand Ole Opry debut and logged hours on the road opening for Aldean, ERNEST, Riley Green and Jameson Rodgers, as a 2024 “Artist to Watch.” “Broken hearts aren’t typically pleasurable, although the breezy melody and pulsing guitars on his hit song ‘Friends Like That’ make loneliness sound attractive.”
There will also be a surprise guest taking the stage that night that will undoubtedly be someone that ANY current country music fan will not want to miss – her career has completely skyrocketed in 2024 and is internationally known, but fans will get a one-of-a-kind-concert experience with all of these artists on one stage.
