 Seminole County FL's Touch-a-Truck event features a huge variety of emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, helicopters, air boats, swat trucks, and more.

Seminole County's Touch-a-Truck returns to Sanford, kicking off Florida Severe Weather Awareness Week

The Seminole County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting its annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 am - 2 pm to kick off Severe Weather Awareness Week!


Families, kids, and community members are invited to come and check out the trucks, boats, helicopters, and other special heavy equipment that local agencies use during severe weather events and other emergencies.


This fun free event for all the family takes place at Sanford Riverwalk at the Marina, and is free to attend!



This hugely popular annual event attracts hundreds of families, and features a massive selection of vehicles and equipment, together with displays, demonstrations, and more, all to help families and individuals to prepare for severe weather, and other related disasters.



Agencies in attendance include City of Sanford, Florida Division of Emergency Management, Sanford Fire Department, Sanford Police Department, Seminole County Fire Department, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Seminole County Animal Services, US National Weather Service Melbourne Florida, Winter Springs Police Department, City of Oviedo Police Department, City of Longwood Fire Department, FDOT Central Florida, Florida Department of Health (DOH), Longwood Police Department, Casselberry Police Department, and more.
