SeaWorld Orlando to launch year-long 60th Anniversary Celebrations with exciting Launch Party!

60th Anniversary celebrations get underway at SeaWorld Orlando this month with a not-to-be-missed party, plus a year-long celebration that includes new rides and attractions, new presentations and shows and special pass promotions.

SeaWorld is turning 60 this year, and SeaWorld Orlando has big plans to celebrate all year long, starting on March 21st – 60 years to the day that SeaWorld first opened its gates in San Diego. Plus, for a limited time, guest can purchase Tickets, Fun Cards and Annual Passes for up to 30% off. 

To get the celebration started, SeaWorld Orlando is hosting a 60th Anniversary launch party March 21-24 that will feature:

• A celebratory cake cutting at park opening with Jon Peterson, SeaWorld Orlando Park President. Jon will speak to guests and reflect upon the company’s 60 years. This ceremony will take place each day at 10 a.m., and guests will receive a free cupcake, while supplies last.

• New and exclusive vintage merchandise, including reusable water bottles, plush animals, snow globes, backpacks, notebooks, blankets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, a custom Precious Moments collectible, and more.

• For the first time in recent years, guests can see Shamu & Crew together again and take a commemorative photo with them. Kids of all ages will love meeting costume characters - Shamu, Coral the Dolphin, Sydney the Shark, and Puck the Penguin!

• Commemorative in-park screens sharing memorable moments in the parks from guests and ambassadors. Guests are invited to share their own images and videos of their favorite SeaWorld memories using #SeaWorld60.

• A special gallery of historic photos and memorabilia from the park over the past 60 years will be located in the Pass Member’s Lounge.

To add more excitement to 2024, SeaWorld Orlando, already recognized as the Coaster Capital of Orlando with an impressive array of heart-pounding rides, is about to take your breath away once again with its all-new attraction – “Penguin Trek” – the eagerly awaited eighth coaster to join the park's ever-expanding ride portfolio.

Designed as THE ultimate family launch coaster experience, “Penguin Trek” features a unique snowmobile styled ride car where once aboard, riders will embark on an exhilarating journey through the breathtaking vastness of Antarctica as they join a penguin research mission unlike any other.

Featuring two exhilarating launches and a maze of twists and turns, this unforgettable coaster moves at speeds of up to 43 mph across a 3,020-foot track that traverses both indoors and outside. Yet, what sets this experience apart as truly extraordinary is its unparalleled finale: as the coaster comes to a halt, guests find themselves not in a simulated penguin colony, but in the very heart of SeaWorld Orlando’s own penguin habitat.
