No more chasing tail for downtown Orlando pups as Pups Pub is closing its Orlando location.

Pups Pub Sports Bar Dog Park & Doggy Daycare located at 317 N Orange Ave, in downtown Orlando is closing, with the liquor sports bar and off-leash dog park calling it quits on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Pups Pub which also has a location in Tampa which is unaffected by the closure, opened in Orlando back in June 2022, quickly becoming a popular spot for dog owners and their pets.
Pups Pub, which is described as "Orlando's Only Off Leash Dog Bar" made the announcement of the closure on the companies Facebook and instagram accounts.
The dog bar claims the decision to close is due to rising challenges in the downtown area, including “increased crime, homelessness, drug activity, and what feels like near-weekly shootings. These ongoing issues have made it increasingly difficult for local businesses to cooperate successfully and have impacted the overall sense of safety and community in the area.”
Despite the pubs issues downtown, they hope to return to the area in the future, but for now Pup Pups will be opening a new location in Clermont later this year No details of the location, or a time-frame for the opening have been given.
