Residents in Lake Nona can now ride in self-driving Volkswagen ID. Buzz Vehicles with MOIA and Beep

MOIA America welcomes riders in Orlando with Beep. Milestone marks MOIA America's first passenger rides in the U.S. 

Invited passengers in the Orlando community of Lake Nona are now booking and taking rides aboard self-driving ID. Buzz vehicles, marking MOIA America's first passenger operations in the U.S. and a significant milestone in its collaboration with Beep on autonomous mobility services. This passenger ride phase represents the next stage of testing in Lake Nona, adding passenger operations to MOIA America’s ongoing testing and validation activities across U.S. markets. 

Invited riders can experience the service by requesting trips directly through the Beep mobile app and providing feedback to help inform future operations. They will board and depart self-driving ID. Buzz vehicles at dedicated pickup and drop-off locations along three planned routes within the Lake Nona community. During this phase, the vehicles will operate with highly trained onboard human operators. 

Through a strategic partnership with Beep, MOIA America provides the MOIA brand’s turnkey autonomous mobility solution. This includes autonomous ID. Buzz vehicles equipped with the self-driving system developed by Mobileye, a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) software platform, as well as operator training and enablement. The integrated solution helps autonomous vehicle fleet operators deploy and manage an autonomous driving ecosystem, starting in Lake Nona.
