Ready, Set, Go! The runDisney 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is underway

Get your running shows on, the runDisney 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is underway at the resort now through January 7, 2024.

Thousands of runners from around the world have arrived at Walt Disney World for the highly anticipated 2024 runDisney Marathon Weekend.

The event, kicked off earlier this morning, Thursday Jan. 4 at 5 am with the Walt Disney World 5K. Over the course of the weekend, runners will also take part in a 10K, half-marathon, marathon, and ultimate challenges– the Goofy and Dopey Challenges.

The 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, is the largest runDisney race weekend of the season with participants going the distance during the unforgettable race weekend.

The Weekend Events

Walt Disney World 5K

January 4, 2024, 5 am

Ready, set, go! Rely on Pluto to be your "best friend" as you race through a 3.1-mile adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Walt Disney World 10K

January 5, 2024, 5 am

Go nuts navigating 6.2 miles with everyone's favorite chipmunks, Chip and Dale.

Walt Disney World Half Marathon

January 6, 2024, 5 am

Join Donald Duck and Daisy Duck as your fine featured friends cheer you on for 13.1-magical miles through the Disney Theme Parks!

Walt Disney World Marathon

January 7, 2024, 5 am

The only thing Minnie about the longest race distance is the host. Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for a magical journey across 26.2 miles over all four parks!

Dopey Challenge

January 4 - 7, 2024, 5 am

Complete all 4 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races on pace and earn 4 Individual Events Medals, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge Medal Dopey Challenge Medal. That’s a grand total of 6 Medals and 48.6 miles in one weekend!

Merch revealed for runDisney 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend!

Runners and resort guests can purchase 2024 event weekend merchandise at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo which takes place through Saturday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Whether you’re taking on 3.1 or 48.6 miles, participants in the weekend events will find something worth taking home. Carry your race weekend medals in one of the varieties of themed bag styles from Lug or the Loungefly mini backpack. Or take home one of the other exciting products including matching ear headband, CORKCICLE drinkware, a weekend-themed Spirit Jersey and more!

All Guests are invited to attend during the following dates and times:

Wednesday, January 3, 2024: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Thursday, January 4, 2024: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Friday, January 5, 2024: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday, January 6, 2024: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
