Punk In The Park cancels all 2026 festivals including Orlando after political backlash

The Punk in the Park Road Show will not be heading out on the open road this year, with the part music festival, part beer festival cancelling all 2026 festivals after Cameron Collins the owner of the production company behind Punk In The Park, Brew Ha Ha Productions previously donated to President Trump's presidential campaign, causing multiple bands to drop from the lineup, citing the festival owner's support for Donald Trump.

Punk in the Park was set to take place in Pittsburgh, PA (April 18), Orlando, FL (May 2) and Vallejo, CA (May 23), with all three festivals headlined by The Addicts, who dropped out of the festival just an hour before Punk in the Park was officially cancelled, with the British band commenting, “Punk rock should unify us, not divide us.”

The Orlando festival at Central Florida Fairgrounds was also set to feature Screeching Weasel, Street Dogs, CKY, and more.

A statement posted on the festival’s official Instagram account announcing the cancellation of all three festivals to fans.

"These shows were something we truly believed in, and we know how much they meant to many of you. Unfortunately, the current climate surrounding the events has created challenges that make it impossible for us to move forward in a way that delivers the experience our fans, artists, and partners deserve."

Trouble for the festival began last year when word got out that festival owner Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions donated to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, prompting several artists to distance themselves from the festival, with bands like Destiny Bond and Dropkick Murphys dropping out of Punk In The Park events in 2025.

At the time Cameron Collins issued a statement, "Like many Americans, my political views don’t neatly fit into a single box or party affiliation. I believe in fairness, humanity, free expression, and fostering unity among people. That’s how I’ve tried to live my life and conduct my business.”

All appeared fine when three festivals were announced for 2026, and its unclear how bands who signed on for this year's festivals did not know about the controversy surrounding the events, but word obviously reached the lineup at some point.

Dead Kennedys said they would honor their already scheduled 2026 appearances in Pittsburgh and Vallejo, but would not participate in future Punk in the Park events. Then bands began dropping out, culminating with the headliners droping off the bill for all three festivals, prompting the cancelation of all three festivals.

In cancelling the festival, organisers shared their disappointment, "This is incredibly disappointing for everyone involved. Our goal has always been to bring people together through music, community, and shared passion — and it’s painful when circumstances prevent that from happening."

All ticket holders will receive full refunds automatically at their original point of purchase within the next week. No action is required.

Brew Ha Ha Productions hope this is not the end of Punk in the Park, calling it "a pause while we regroup and look toward the future," leaving the door open for a return in the future.
