Poseidon’s Fury, an opening day attraction in The Lost Continent will have its last performances today, May 9, 2023.
The attraction is closing forever to make way for what Universal Orlando are only calling “new entertainment"
Poseidon’s Fury is a walk through attraction where you follow an archeologist guide and venture through the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon, Greek god of the sea, and once you've journeyed far beneath the ocean, you're caught in a colossal battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkennon. Fireballs burst, lasers flash, and water erupts around you in this spectacular special effects experience.
Poseidon’s Fury was an opening day attractions within the Lost Continent section of Universal's Islands Of Adventure on May 28, 1999.
The story in the show has changed since it first opened but it has continued to use four types of lasers and over 200 individual flame effects, plus the water effects in the show includes mist screens, cannons, and mortars.
