Portillo’s set to open third Orlando area location in Waterford Lakes Town Center

Hot Dog Alert! Central Florida is set to get a third Portillo’s location with the Chicago-style food chain planning to open a new location at Waterford Lakes Town Center.

Fast-casual chain Portillo’s is set to open a third Orlando area restaurant at Waterford Lakes Town Center.

According to a public filing with Orland County, the drive-through restaurant is to be located at 315 N. Alafaya Trail.

Portilo's is proving popular in Orlando with the chain first opening in Villages at O-Town West on Palm Parkway, followed by a restaurant on the 192 in Kissimmee across from The Promenade On Sunset Walk.

Once open, guests at the new Waterford Lakes location can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.

The interior of each Portilo's features a diner theme, with an ode to rock ‘n roll with an electric guitar ceiling installation.
