Popular Broadway hit - Five Guys Named Moe set to take to the stage at The Winter Park Playhouse

Jump into this swinging, high-energy Broadway musical set to Louis Jordan’s iconic rhythm and blues/jazz score!

The Winter Park Playhouse continues its latest series of professional musicals with the popular Broadway hit - Five Guys Named Moe, featuring a recognizable and enticing score that will have the audience leaping out of their seats to join the celebration!

The musical takes to the stage at the theater from March 15 - April 20, 2024, with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday matinees at 2 pm, plus select Wednesday and Sunday matinees at 2 pm, (check the website for dates here).   

Five Guys Named Moe is an exuberant tribute to the music of rhythm and blues pioneer and alto saxophonist, Louis Jordan, Five Guys Named Moe is an international sensation. Initially produced in London's West End by the legendary Cameron Mackintosh, this exhilarating, all-embracing theatrical experience moved to Broadway in 1992 and was nominated for two Tony Awards.

Five Guys Named Moe is about our hero, Nomax – he's broke, his lovely Lorraine left him and he's listening to the radio at 5:00 in the morning. Out of the radio, five guys named Moe appear. Set to Jordan's iconic rhythm and blues/jazz score, the Moes encourage Nomax to turn his life around and tell Lorraine that he loves her.

The Winter Park Playhouse MainStage production of the musical features a talented cast of performers including Eric Green, Darryl Reuben Hall, E. Mani Cadet, Adourin Owens, James Berkley, and Brandon Martin.
