Orlando Squeeze to host Major League Pickleball Regular Season Finale at Walt Disney World

The electrifying professional coed team pickleball action of Major League Pickleball (MLP presented by DoorDash) is coming back to Central Florida, and this time, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Major League Pickleball has selected the Orlando Squeeze as the host team for the 2026 MLP regular season finale at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort from July 30 through August 2. The four-day showcase taking place indoors at the complex’s State Farm Field House will feature the world’s top professional pickleball athletes competing in a high-energy, team format as the league makes its final push toward the 2026 playoffs.

As the official regular season finale, the event represents a defining moment in the MLP calendar; where postseason positioning is decided, momentum is built, and championship aspirations are put to the test. With playoff spots on the line, fans can expect intense matchups, dramatic finishes, and a playoff-like atmosphere throughout the weekend. Hosted by the hometown Orlando Squeeze, the event promises a celebration of elite competition, community, and the continued rise of pickleball. Fans of all ages are invited to experience the energy that makes Major League Pickleball one of the most exciting live sports experiences today.

“It is a tremendous milestone for MLP to add pro pickleball to the storied list of sports events that have been hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World,” said Samin Odhwani, MLP Commissioner. “I can’t think of a better place to close out our regular season and finalize our 2026 playoff field.”

The Squeeze have deep roots in the Central Florida community. They were formed in 2023 by local sports executive and philanthropist Ryan DeVos along with other members of the DeVos family. The sports business is a long-time passion for the DeVos family, as they have been stewards of the Orlando Magic since 1991 – solidifying them as one of the longest-tenured ownership groups in the National Basketball Association.

In their inaugural season, the Squeeze not only clinched a championship title, but also played a pivotal role in elevating pickleball's presence in Central Florida and beyond.

Off the court, they’ve been building a passionate local fan base, hosting events and exhibition matches across the city, and putting Orlando on the pickleball map. With the No. 1 player in the world on their roster, a wide collection of fresh merchandise, and an energy to match, the Squeeze know how to bring the juice.

“There’s always something special about hosting the world’s premier pickleball tournament in our own backyard,” said Ryan DeVos, General Manager and Owner of the Orlando Squeeze. “Central Florida has embraced the sport and its culture in a big way, and we’re excited to showcase our city, our fans, and our team as the league heads into the playoffs.”

The 12 MLP teams participating in the event include: · Brooklyn Pickleball Team· California Black Bears· Carolina Hogs· Chicago Slice· Las Vegas Night Owls· Los Angeles Mad Drops· Miami Pickleball Club· New Jersey 5s· Orlando Squeeze· Palm Beach Royals· Phoenix Flames· St. Louis Shock

Major League Pickleball is the premier professional, coed, team-based pickleball league, featuring 20 teams and more than 100 of the sport’s top athletes. Founded in 2021, MLP has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing leagues in professional sports, known for its energetic live events, innovative scoring format, and unmatched fan engagement. The 2026 season runs from May through August and includes regular season events in team markets across the country, a mid-season tournament, and an expanded multi-week playoff structure.

The MLP event is just one of many exciting events taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this year, including the Youth Flag Football World Championships, the AAU Basketball World Championships, the debut of Banana Ball and various international cheer and dance competitions. With world-class pickleball competition at such a legendary venue, the Orlando finale is shaping up to be another must-see sporting event of the summer and a unique opportunity for fans to combine it with a world-class Disney family vacation.

“It’s been so fun to see the growth of Pickleball over the past few years, and we can’t wait to showcase the sport on a championship stage at ESPN Wide World of Sports,” said Vice President Adam Ball. “The Major League Pickleball finale is going to bring great energy, and we’re matching that with a distinctly Disney experience that fans will love.”
