Spiral Circle Bookstore & More, an independent bookstore specializing in spiritual and self-help materials is celebrating 50 years in business this weekend.
Spiral Circle located at 750 N Thornton Ave, Orlando is marking the golden anniversary with a celestial garden party on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 6 to 9 pm and everyone is invited to help them celebrate!
The bookstore, which is Orlando's oldest independent bookstore, was founded in 1975 by Beverly Ford and has blossomed ever since as a quiet haven and place of peace for the local community.
The 50th anniversary celebrations will honor Bevery Ford's vision for the bookstore and the thousands of souls who’ve supported Spiral Circle along the way.
On Saturday, the anniversary party will begin with welcome remarks from Vicki Booher, then guests can enjoy a video of Beverly Ford, the original founder and her vision for Spiral Circle.
There will also be toasts from Jeff Dry, Board Chair of Orlandos Mills 50 Mainstreet, and Commissioner Stuart will presents the proclamation from the City of Orlando.
Representative Anna Eskamani, John Rife from East End Market, and Julie Wilder, owner of Spiral Circle will all offer remarks.
Spiral Circle will also be offering an exclusive sneak peek (and taste!) of what’s to come at their upcoming Jubilee Tea Garden, serving up refreshing, freshly mixed mocktails with homemade syrups and flavors, plus Mila's Front Porch is bringing her "National Champtionship Winning" pie to the table - you're gonna want to taste this! There will also be a grazing table full of delicious snacks.
Customers past and present are also invited to contribute to a Community Time Capsule, leave a letter, drawing, vision, or offering for the next generation. Spiral Circle will be sealing it with love and intention and burying it on the property as an offering to the land and a gift to the future.
In addition, Spiral Circle will also be unveiling a crowdfunding campaign for Jubilee Tea Garden, a cozy new outdoor café that will be nestled inside of Spiral Circle in the near future.
The evening will conclude with karaoke! Yuki Smith will MC the karaoke in the enchanted garden!
