The Orlando Magic has bold ambitions as the team prepare for the 2025-2026 season.

Each defining era of Orlando Magic basketball has had its own unique look. Magic Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway donned the original stars and pinstripes as the team made its first run to the NBA Finals.

Tracy McGrady helped usher in the second era of the Magic stars along with the iconic comet ball on his way to four straight All-Star appearances with the franchise. And Dwight Howard brought the franchise back to The Finals and then also assisted in putting the most recent Magic logo marks on the map during his exceptional eight-year stint with the organization.
Now, as the Magic attempt to reach new heights behind franchise cornerstones Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, they’ll do so while donning new uniforms and logos that both embrace the past while still looking towards the future.
“The team on the court is improving,” said Magic CEO Alex Martins. “We’ve seen it improve over the course of the last couple of years (with two straight playoff appearances). This season would have been much improved if we were healthy … Certainly with a healthy roster next year, we expect that improvement to continue. This (change) just goes hand in hand alongside with it. Hopefully, it leads to great celebrations, great times and great moments here at the Kia Center and in our community as we strive to do what we’re in this to do – that’s to win a championship. Hopefully, all of that comes together in this era and in this time.”
“As we move forward and continue to pursue excellence together, the Magic brand needs to move forward as well,” said Magic Chairman Dan DeVos. “The new logos and uniforms are a nod to our tradition and rich history of the Orlando Magic ... while also signifying the beginning of a new era.”
The logo revisits the iconic and fan-favorite franchise symbol, the star, once again. It features the legendary, star-centric logo, which represents the reach for the stars mentality to match the team’s championship ideals.

“It’s incredibly exciting,” said Magic Vice President of Shareholder Engagement Ryan DeVos. “This has been a legacy and amazing opportunity to steward this franchise on behalf of the city as a family for 34 years now. So, to be able to step into that next era of Orlando Magic brand identity and Orlando Magic basketball, (it’s) a really exciting time. So, to be able to honor that legacy and look towards the future, it’s fantastic.”
The logos incorporate the stars in multiple ways – a variation of the past with a new-look cascading star trail and making a comeback in the wordmark replacing the “A” in both “Orlando” and “Magic.” It also stays true to the team’s roots continuing with the colors of Magic blue, Magic black and Magic silver. The updated look includes the team’s secondary logo with the iconic star behind the ball appearing in motion, reflecting the team propelling forward and building on the heritage and history of the Magic from its birth in 1989.
The team’s new jerseys brought memories flooding back for Tristan da Silva, who just completed his rookie season with the franchise. Da Silva owned a Shaq Magic jersey as a kid and is now thrilled to be able to sport a similar look when he takes the floor for his second season with the team.
“It’s iconic,” said da Silva. “Everybody knows those jerseys. Everybody knows that team, the potential of that team, (and) the great things they’ve done for the organization. It’s really just honoring that legacy that they left behind (and) kind of reconnecting with the initial set up of the team (and) the roots of the Orlando Magic.”
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who signed with the Magic as a free agent last offseason, was also at the event and assisted with the unveiling. He’s played for some historic franchises over the course of his career and won a pair of championships, but called the team’s new jerseys his favorite. He’s also hopeful that the change will correlate with the organization reaching new heights.
“It’s a new chapter for us,” KCP explained. “We’re excited and we’re here for it.”

The three new uniforms – Association (white), Icon (blue) and Statement (black) – have evolved into modern classics, while still honoring the rich history of the Magic’s most iconic jerseys. With the return of the bold pinstripes, the MAGIC and ORLANDO wordmarks, uniform trim and bold star on the shorts of the Association and Icon editions, the uniforms are a nostalgic tribute to a favorite of the Magic’s fanbase while being on trend with current and future style.
“We heard the fans,” said Cole DeVos. “The nostalgia from the early era ... I really think we have – maybe I'm a little bit biased – one of the most iconic brands in professional sports. So, it's been awesome to be part of this whole process ... It's fun. It's a new era. It makes sense (with) a young team that's hungry to win.”
The Statement uniform, the only Jordan brand uniform in the lineup, is influenced by the Magic’s original on-court warm-up jackets with bold pinstripes and the new star-centric icon featured on the shorts.
“The Orlando Magic’s mission is to be world champions on and off the court. The logo and uniforms are an extension of that mission and a direct reflection of the excellence our organization strives for from our ownership to our staff, coaches and players,” said Magic Executive Vice President of Marketing and Social Responsibility Shelly Wilkes. “Based on fan feedback, the new logo was a collaboration and really a labor of love keeping in mind the affinity our fans have for our brand identity. This logo and new uniforms signify the beginning of a new era of excellence for the Magic while paying homage to the past. We are excited to build upon our rich history with a modernized version of the uniform and logo that our fan base cherishes.”
