With conditions already deteriorating in Orlando as Hurricane Milton continues its potentially life-threatening assault on Florida, Orange County Sheriff's Office has made an urgent appeal.
As a rare and dangerous weather event unfolds across Orlando with tornado and flooding rainfall threats rapidly increasing this afternoon well ahead of Hurricane Milton making landfall on the Florida west coast, Orange County Sheriff's Office has made an urgent plea to all residents.
ONLY CALL 911 IN A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY!
Orange County Sheriff's Office say that this is so very important as we face Hurricane Milton and that Emergency Communications staff are working tirelessly through the storm to continue providing lifesaving assistance to our community.
Call 911 if you are in immediate danger from a:
Serious injury
Medical crisis
Fire
Downed power line sparking/on fire
Call 311 for other hurricane-related issues:
Fallen trees
Broken traffic lights
Flooding that is not an immediate threat
Orange County Sheriff's Office are also urging all residents to not underestimate the storm, and are asking that you should be INSIDE YOUR SAFE LOCATION by 2pm today (Wednesday 10/9).
