407 Day is a day to show support to local businesses and restaurants here in Orlando and to celebrate, Visit Orlando and the Orlando Economic Partnership will unveil a new mural in downtown Orlando to celebrate #407Day on Friday, April 7 at 10:30 am.
The new mural is designed by local Orlando artist Clark Orr, with the mural's design an initiative that is part of the “Unbelievably Real” brand platform, a first-of-its-kind partnership between Visit Orlando and the Orlando Economic Partnership.
“Unbelievably Real” was developed to appeal to a worldwide audience including leisure travelers, meeting planners, workforce talent and business audiences.
The exciting new mural is being painted by talented muralist Kristi Burke, and will be located at Pine Street and Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.
Kirsti has shared images of the new mural on her Instagram account, which we have shared here.
The mural will be a great spot for a selfie, and the closest parking options will be the Garland Ave Lot (25 S. Garland Ave) or the 55 West Garage (60 W Pine St).
The #407Day celebration, inspired by Orlando’s longtime area code, has evolved through the years to encourage residents to support and celebrate their favorite local businesses by sharing posts and photos on their social media channels using #407Day.
Visit Orlando President & CEO Casandra Matej will be joined by City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Orlando Economic Partnership President & CEO Tim Giuliani, and representatives from the Orlando Downtown Development Board and community stakeholders, including mural designer and Orlando resident Clark Orr.
City of Orlando Poet Laureate Shawn Welcome will deliver a special poem for #407Day and the Unbelievably Real mural debut.
