Outpost Neighborhood Tavern is opening at former Persimmon Hollow’s Orlando space near Lake Eola.

John Teixeira and Devon Tillman announced back in October 2024 that they had signed a lease on the former Persimmon Hollow Orlando’s location at Lake Eola, bringing Outpost Neighborhood Tavern to the area.
The tavern is a new concept in collaboration between Devon, the former owner of Island Time/ The Garden Bistro and John, the owner and commissioner of OUT Sports League.
The new neighborhood hangout at 227 N. Eola Drive, Outpost Neighborhood Tavern, is now ready to open its doors, with John and Devon inviting locals to pop in for a cold beer, some delicious Southern-inspired comfort food, chill, watch some sports, and enjoy a chat!
On Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th from 5 pm-10 pm, Outpost Neighborhood Tavern will be welcoming guests. THIS IS BY RESERVATION ONLY. Walk ups may be turned away.
For reservations, email outpostorlando@gmail.com. Space is limited, so get those requests in now.

Outpost Neighborhood Tavern is gay-owned, but everyone is welcome, with the mantra of, “All are welcome. Just don’t be a bitch.”
The tavern is full service and offers an American-inspired menu created by executive chef Devon Tillman, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry. In addition, there is a full bar serving draft beer, wine, frozen drinks and craft cocktails with extensive indoor and patio seating.
Soon the tavern will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, and be home to Orlando’s most popular drag brunch—a weekly event that’s all about fun, celebration, and community, featuring the best of Orlando’s drag performers.
The tavern will collaborate extensively with OUT Sports League and host local leagues like cornhole, trivia and darts. In addition, it will serve as a game day destination to watch all your favorite local sports teams.
Once fully open, Outpost Neighborhood Tavern will open at 11 am and close at 10 pm, except Friday and Saturday when it will open until 12 am.
The new tavern received $84,000 via the City of Orlando’s DTO Restaurant Program, which helped the business with renovation costs, together with first-year rent relief.
The aim of the DTO Restaurant Program is to bring more small, independent restaurants and bars to downtown Orlando.
The Outpost Neighborhood Tavern is located at 227 N Eola Drive on the corner of Eola and Robinson at the northeast corner of Lake Eola Park.
