The tranquil oasis that is The Garden Bistro in Thornton Park will soon close its doors permanently, with the owners teasing a comeback in the future.

Back at the beginning of June, we brought you the sad news that home to the popular Sunday Drag Brunch, The Garden Bistro which many knew as 'Island Time,' was closing after five years.
And while, Garden Bistro’s owner Devon Tillman is continuing the popular Sunday drag brunch at The Aardvark at 2610 S. Fern Creek Avenue, it's not known if Garden Bistro will open at a new location anytime soon.
The Garden Bistro closed on June 23, with Devon Tillman revealing that the buildings landlord has decided not to renew their lease, feeling that the business is "no longer a viable business for this space."
Tillman commented, "I understand that many of you have questions, but I prefer not to air my frustration on social media."
At the time it was not known what the landlords plans were for the historic building in Thornton Park that was built in 1922, but now we do!

As reported in The Community Paper, the building located at 712 E Washington St , Orlando, has been leased with the intent to buy by Felicia Vestal, who many will know as the manager of The Veranda across the street in Thornton Park.
The venue will now be known as "Kaleidoscope," with the intent of creating a neighborhood hang-out with "good music, affordable food and a fun atmosphere."
Vestal plans a new look for the building before it soft opens in late August. Kaleidoscope will be open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
