Silvana Estrada is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Latin music, blending indie-folk, jazz, and traditional Mexican influences into a deeply intimate and poetic sound. Following her 2022 debut Marchita – which earned her the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and widespread acclaim from The New York Times, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone – Estrada has continued a remarkable ascent on the global stage.
Her latest album, Vendrán Suaves Lluvias, marks a profound new chapter: a self-produced work born from a period of personal transformation, grief, and renewal. The album has been critically acclaimed and featured prominently on multiple year-end lists, including #3 on Rolling Stone’s Best Latin Albums of 2025, alongside artists like Rosalía and Bad Bunny, and inclusion in the magazine’s overall Best Albums of the Year. Its standout track “Como un Pájaro” was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Singer-Songwriter Song, while Estrada graced the cover of Rolling Stone en Español (March 2026) and ELLE México, underscoring her growing cultural impact.
A captivating live performer, Estrada has headlined sold-out shows around the world and collaborated with artists ranging from Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil to Natalia Lafourcade, Laufey, and AURORA. Her international reach is further reflected in appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Kimmel, NPR’s Tiny Desk (both her acclaimed home session and Washington, D.C. performance), and COLORS, where her performances have reached global audiences.
Her music exists at the intersection of tradition and reinvention – an artist of the past, present, and future, described by Dazed as “the Gen Z, Latin American answer to Joni Mitchell.”
