Memorial Day is a holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2026 falls on Monday, May 25.
Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.

As we mark the 250th year of America, this gathering serves as a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity within our community.
The program will take place on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 am at Veterans Memorial Park. Attendees are invited to come together for a respectful ceremony featuring a special appearance by Tunnels to Towers Ambassador, John Manning, ceremonial tributes, and a patriotic musical performance by the King Guys Band.
