This free, family-friendly event at Mead Botanical Garden includes Florida native plants, educational presentations, guided hikes and kids’ activities.

Backyard Biodiversity Day celebrates diversity in the landscape, and provides opportunities to learn about Florida’s native plants, pollinators, wildlife, and why they are important.
This free and family-friendly event at Mead Botanical Garden, located at 1300 S Denning Dr, Winter Park, takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 9 am - 3 pm.
The Backyard Biodiversity Day Native Plant Sale includes environmentally conscious vendors, educational presentations, guided hikes, kids’ activities, food trucks, and live music all centered around a huge native plant sale.

12 pm - Pollinator Prowl - Mary Klem & Randy Snyder
