Maker Faire Orlando

Curiosity takes center stage when Maker Faire Orlando returns Nov. 7 and 8 to the Central Florida Fairgrounds & Expo Halls for its 14th annual celebration of invention, creativity and hands-on learning.

The nonprofit, community-organized event brings together more than 250 exhibits spanning science, art, robotics, crafts, technology, 3D printing, cosplay and more. From engineers and artists to scientists, students, crafters and garage tinkerers, makers of all ages share what they create, how they create it and what they have learned along the way.

Throughout the two-day event, guests can meet makers, explore exhibits and learn by doing through projects and workshops.

The weekend also features returning crowd favorites including Robot Ruckus combat robotics, Power Racing, cosplay and prop making, 3D printing and technology, stage presentations and live demonstrations throughout air-conditioned exhibit halls and green spaces.

Highlights of Maker Faire Orlando include:

Field Trip Preview Day

Before the public event opens, Maker Faire Orlando will welcome school groups and homeschool families for Field Trip Day on Friday, Nov. 6. The educational preview gives students an opportunity to experience hands-on STEAM learning and interact directly with makers, artists, engineers and inventors. Field Trip Day is available to preregistered public, private and charter school groups and homeschool families.

Hands-On Making

Maker Faire Orlando is designed to be experienced, not simply observed. Guests can discover projects and demonstrations across dozens of categories, with opportunities to learn, build, experiment and interact directly with the people behind the creations. Hands-on workshops give attendees opportunities to try new skills and, in many cases, make something of their own.
