Low Temperatures once again force Blizzard Beach, Aquatica, and Volcano Bay to close

Tuesday's severe weather has thankfully cleared out of Central Florida, leaving a sunny, dry, but very cold Wednesday, with the low temps forcing area water parks to close.


Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Low temperatures in Central Florida are once again forcing area water parks to close, with Disney's Blizzard Beach, Universal's Volcano Bay, and Aquatica Orlando all closed Wednesday.


So how cold will it be? You will definitely need a sweater today, Wednesday January 10 with temps starting in the 50s, and staying in the low to mid 60s throughout the day. Wednesday night into Thursday could see temps dip into the 40s, with daytime highs on Thursday of low 60s.


Friday could see temps rebound into the low 80s, then back down into the 60s for the weekend.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park at Walt Disney World will be closed today, Wednesday, January 10 and tomorrow, Thursday, January 11, 2024 due to forecasted low temperatures.


The water park is currently expected to reopen to guests on Friday, January 12.


Universal's Volcano Bay

Universal's Volcano Bay Water Park will be closed today, Wednesday, January 10 and is currently scheduled to reopen to guests on Thursday, January 11.


Aquatica Water Park

Aquatica Water Park will be closed today, Wednesday, January 10 and is currently scheduled to reopen to guests on Thursday, January 11.
