Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom closing for Refurbishment until at least Mid-March

Walt Disney World has revealed a timeframe for when Kali River Rapid's at Disney's Animal Kingdom reopens from its annual winter refurbishment.

Animal Kingdom’s popular raft ride, Kali River Rapids is closing for it's annual refurbishment, beginning Monday, January 8, 2024.

The last day of operations for the water ride will be Sunday, January 7. and now we know roughly when we can expect to see the water ride at Walt Disney World re-open.

It was expected that the ride would be closed for at least a month, but Disney now say that the attraction will not open until at least mid March.

In 2023, the ride closed on January 9, reopening on February 26, while the previous years refurbishment commenced on November 1, 2021 through until January 4, 2022.
