Join History Center historian Rachel Williams at The Nook on Robinson for a lively look at Colonial Plaza and the heyday of Orlando’s shopping malls.


Learn how suburban growth reshaped our city’s retail landscape, why malls became such beloved gathering places, and what keeps their stories alive in our collective memory. Discover why these spaces still spark nostalgia and curiosity today.


Let’s make history a little more social! This special event takes place in the Milk District's The Nook on Robinson, located at 2432 E Robinson St., Orlando on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 7 - 8 pm.

Located in the heart of downtown Orlando, the History Center offers four floors of dynamic exhibits exploring 12,000 years of Central Florida history. Enjoy limited-run exhibitions scheduled and riveting programs throughout the year.


The History Center is located in the restored 1927 courthouse at Magnolia Avenue and Central Boulevard in the heart of downtown Orlando. Parking is available in the Library Parking Garage at 112 E. Central Blvd. across from the Orlando Public Library.
