It's officially the end of the road as Trail's End Restaurant at Walt Disney World is now closed

Trail's End Restaurant at Walt Disney World is now officially closed for a refurbishment that will change the restaurant forever.

Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground which first opened in 1974, has closed for a refurbishment that will see the location cease to be a table service restaurant, with the popular location re-imagined as a quick service outlet.

With Trail’s End closed, P&J’s Southern Takeout mobile ordering and The Chuck Wagon food truck are available as an alternative.

Trails's End is scheduled to reopen this summer.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Trail’s End was an all you can eat buffet experience, but when the restaurant reopened in 2021, it was changed to a family-style restaurant, now sadly 2023 will really be Trail's End, as the restaurant is transformed into a quick serve location.

The new food location will have a “marketplace concept with expanded quick service options,”
