Hurricane Ian Update: All Central Florida Airports CLOSING Due To Approaching Storm

As Hurricane Ian continues to track towards Central Florida, all major area airports have now announced that they are ceasing operations ahead of the storm.

Orlando International Airport

Orlando International Airport will cease operations from 10:30am on Wednesday September 28 2022.

Orlando Sanford International Airport

Sanford Airport will close at 5pm on Tuesday September 27 2022.

Melbourne Orlando International Airport

MLB will close at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 28

Tampa International Airport

In preparation for Hurricane Ian, TPA will suspend all operations on Tuesday, September 27, at 5:00 p.m.

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport

Beginning at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, St. Pete Clearwater International Airport will close.
