The National Weather Service has elevated its heat advisory today for Orlando and the majority of Central Florida to an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from 11am to 7pm.

Today's temps will be dangerous high for Central Florida, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 98 in Orlando. This has us edging closer to the hottest day ever in Orlando, which right now is 99, which was set in 1987.

Feel like temps today will feel like 115 or higher through the afternoon and early evening.

The National Weather Service has advised that the best place to be today is indoors. If you do go outside, make sure you drink plenty of water and take frequent indoor rest breaks, preferably in an air-conditioned room.
