Hispanic Heritage Month is a month-long celebration of Hispanic and Latino history and culture. Each year, from September 15 to October 15, communities across the country celebrate the contributions and cultures of people who trace their roots from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Today, the Hispanic and Latino population in the United States is over 60 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This makes up 18.9% of the total population, with an even higher percentage in Central Florida, with over 35% of the population.

Orlando is home to a thriving Hispanic community, with celebration happening throughout the city to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, including festivals, art exhibitions, concerts, and more.

This year, the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month theme is UNIDOS, SOMOS MÁS - TOGETHER, WE ARE MORE.” The theme celebrates unity as a source of strength within Hispanic and Latino communities while honoring shared values such as resilience, family, culture, and service.

To help you celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we've brought together all the amazing special events happening throughout Orlando and Central Florida, and don't forget to check back often as we add even more events to this year's guide.
