On July 28 the City Beautiful will celebrate 150 years with a day of service.

In 2025, the City of Orlando is celebrating its 150th anniversary. From its humble beginnings as a small frontier town in 1875, Orlando has grown into a vibrant and diverse community.
With over 300,000 residents calling Orlando home, our community offers something for everyone, including arts, culture, sports, outdoor amenities, thriving businesses small and big and a food scene that is diverse and always growing.
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the City of Orlando, join the City of Orlando, City Council, Keep Orlando Beautiful and community partners on Thursday, July 31 for a community-wide day of service and help celebrte 150 years!
Choose from activities across all 6 districts – from senior support to neighborhood cleanups and meal packing.

District 1: Hygiene Kit & Blanket Packing with Heart of Florida UW
District 1 Commissioner Jim Gray and the Heart of Florida United Way are organizing an event focused on hygiene kit packing and making fleece blankets.
District 2: Engaging Seniors & Preserving Memories with Seniors First
District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz and Seniors First, Inc. of Central Florida are seeking a small group of volunteers to engage with seniors.
District 3: Food Sorting & Packing with One Heart
District 3 Commissioner Robert Stuart and One Heart for Women and Children are hosting a large-scale volunteer effort to sort and pack food.
District 4: Mills 50 Community Litter Cleanup with The Center Orlando
District 4 Commissioner Patty Sheehan and The Center - Orlando, in collaboration with Mills 50, are organizing a Litter Cleanup.
District 5: Second Harvest Food Bank Donation Sorting
District 5 Commissioner Shan Rose and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida are calling for volunteers to sort donations.
District 6: Eagle Nest Park Cleanup with Keep Orlando Beautiful
District 6 Commissioner Bakari F. Burns and Keep Orlando Beautiful (KOB) are looking for volunteers to help clean up Eagle Nest Park. Volunteers will be picking litter and debris throughout the park using tools and supplies provided by KOB.
