Central Florida's commuter rail system, SunRail is joining in the nations 250th anniversary celebrations.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and to celebrate the journey toward this historic milestone, Central Florida's commuter rail system, SunRail has launched a red, white, and blue, America 250 Florida–Themed Train!
The 250th anniversary of the United States marks a pivotal moment to celebrate the nation’s founding, and the America 250 Florida–Themed Train has been launched to promote Florida's contributions to the republic, via America 250 Florida.
America250FL is an invitation to Floridian's to celebrate the 250th anniversary together, reflecting on the unique and influential role that Florida played in the establishment of the country, through inspiring events, educational programs, and civic engagement.
It is hoped that the brightly wrapped America 250 Florida–Themed Train will help to engage locals in upcoming America250FL events in Central Florida.
To kick off the celebrations, SunRail will be operating on Presidents Day, with passengers being encouraged to ride the rain, who will be open, rolling, and ready to connect passengers to everything Central Florida has to offer on the federal holiday.
