Ghirardelli at Disney Springs to move temporarily to Town Center location for store renovations

After nearly 30 years in its current home, the iconic Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop is temporarily relocating to Disney Springs Town Center while its Marketplace location undergoes a renovation.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has announces that its iconic Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort will relocate to Disney Springs Town Center during the renovation of its longtime home in Disney Springs Marketplace, originally opened in 1996.

Later this summer, Ghirardelli will temporarily relocate to a nearby location within Disney Springs Town Center while construction is underway, with the updated shop set to reopen in 2027. The renovation underscores Ghirardelli’s continued investment in Disney Springs, building on its longstanding relationship with Disney while introducing thoughtful design updates to a space that has welcomed guests for nearly three decades. The remodeled store will feature increased indoor guest seating, more efficient guest checkout to reduce wait times, and a few surprises.

“Disney Springs has been a cherished home for Ghirardelli for nearly 30 years, and we are proud of the magical chocolate memories we’ve helped create for guests from around the world,” said Lacey Zane, Vice President of Restaurant & Retail at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. “Our longstanding relationship with Disney is an important part of that story, and this next chapter allows us to thoughtfully evolve the space while honoring its legacy. Throughout the transition, guests can continue to enjoy Ghirardelli’s handcrafted World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes, signature chocolate treats, and full menu at a temporary Ghirardelli location in Town Center, keeping the traditions and flavors they know and love available during construction.

As a beloved part of Disney Springs for nearly three decades, Ghirardelli has long been a destination for chocolate lovers and Disney fans alike and continues to welcome guests during this next chapter.
