This will be the first GOES mission to launch on a Falcon Heavy, and the 10th Falcon Heavy mission for SpaceX.

On June 25, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will offer special launch viewing tickets for the SpaceX Falcon Heavy GOES-U, scheduled to launch between 5:16 and 7:16 p.m. ET.
Viewing the launch from the main campus of the visitor complex will be included with admission. The Atlantis North Lawn and the Gateway Pavilion will be set up with jumbotrons for easy viewing.
Audio and video commentary for the launch is available at both viewing locations, with expert commentary from a space expert at Atlantis North Lawn.
GOES-U will provide advance detection and monitoring of environmental phenomena that directly affect public safety, protection of property, and the nation’s economic health.
Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) is a collaborative NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and NASA program providing continuous imagery and data on atmospheric conditions and solar activity.
