Join Orange County this weekend for the 2026 Hurricane Expo: The Power of Preparedness! Now is the time to prepare for hurricane season with this weekend's expo featuring expert guidance from NWS Meteorologist Brenden Schaper and local resources designed to help you stay prepared.

Orange County Government and the Office of Emergency Management will host the 2026 Hurricane Expo on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9 am - 1 pm, at Oak Ridge High School. The event is free and open to the public.

The expo will feature:

One-on-one discussions with emergency responders and safety vendors

Safety tips on how to survive a hurricane

2026 hurricane predictions with National Weather Service meteorologist Brendan Schaper

FREE preparedness items (while supplies last)

Orange County Government is the primary source of information for its more than one million residents during severe storms. The Atlantic Hurricane Season begins June 1 and ends November 30.
