Fundraising Event is happening this weekend to help support Sanford Porchfest return in 2027

Sanford Porchfest Music Festival is NOT happening this year, but you can still have fun at a fundraising event to ensure Porchfest returns in 2027.

Sanford Porchfest the free grassroots music festival that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every February in the historic residential downtown of Sanford has been cancelled for 2026, with organizers blaming "delays in finalizing logistics with the necessary parties and the need for a unified plan to sustain the festival’s future."

The organizing committee went on to explain that rather than compromise the integrity and quality of the experience, they decided it was best to hit the pause button on the popular annual event, and work toward building a stronger foundation for the years ahead. 

And as they work to bring back Sanford Porchfest in February of 2027, 10 years since the first event, a group of local businesses, together with Sanford Main Street have decided to put together a fundraising event to help ensure the events future.

Sanford loves Porchfest is a fundraising event to support Sanford Porchfest come back even stronger in 2027. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, February 28 starting at 12 pm.

16 different businesses will host musicians throughout the day. Many of those musicians have played previous Sanford Porchfest events.

In essence, it's a modified version of Porchfest. However, instead of visiting neighborhood porches you'll visit some of the downtown Sanford businesses.

The 16 businesses involved are not only hosting musicians, each is making a generous financial donation to Porchfest.
