The festivities kick off as early as August and last through until early November, and with so many events to enjoy in our theme parks, attractions, theaters, neighborhoods, bars and more, it will take you that long to experience everything!
Yes, spooky season really is a big deal in Orlando, and with spectacular theme park events such as Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, plus with heart-stopping haunted houses including Sir Henry's Haunted Trail and A Petrified Forrest, Orlando truly is the scary capital of the (under)world during Halloween season.

Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) at Universal Studios Florida is huge, its one of the biggest Halloween events in the country, and features horror of all genres, from cinematic greats and crazed cult favorites to the park’s original abominations, and each year the legend grows and the experience reaches beyond your wildest nightmares.
This year, Halloween Horror Nights 34 emerges from the fog on August 29, running select nights until November 2, 2025.

Orlando’s most terrifying Halloween event is back and more bone-chilling than ever. Now in its 5th year, Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando unleashes a new wave of screams with unexpected horrors lurking around every corner. The one of a kind outdoor haunted attraction, Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail is a not-to-be-missed horror theme park in Plant City.
The attraction, also known as the i4 Fear Park, contains multiple haunted houses (aka haunted trails), escape games, laser tag, food vendors, a gift shop, axe throwing, and a common area that features an ornate centerpiece with wandering scare actors.
Each event either features two or three open trails with a different theme or story for each session that the haunt is open. Plus, don't miss the haunted hayride!

Far Reach Ranch in Tavares is home to a terrifying haunted attraction called Fear Reach Scream Park.
Fear Reach Scream Park features 3 haunted attractions, then at Pitchfork Parlor you can enjoy spooky cocktails from the bar and live music featuring a punk/rockabilly band, plus try your hand at axe throwing and carnival games in Dr. Deviant’s Game Emporium!
October 3 - November 1, 2025, Select Nights
Dr. Grimley's Haunted Trail is located at Sunsational Farms, 40541 Roger Giles Road, Umatilla, and features two themed trails where the’ll prey upon your deepest phobias with horrific scares designed to unsettle and disorient. Double the trails… double the terror… double the value. And there’s more…From 8 pm until 10 pm each night, both trails will terrify your uneasy soul. But after 10 pm, they turn off the lights and amp up the scares for those brave enough to enter the trails for the “Lights Out” experience with nothing but a tiny hand-held light (provided) to illuminate your way (and any horror that may cross your path…)
That’s 4 total haunt experiences each night for those with enough courage to overcome their fears in both light and darkness.

One of the best spooky season scare experiences in Central Florida is a horrifying journey into A Petrified Forest! This terrifying independent outdoor scare trail which is located in the Altamonte Springs area of Orlando is legendary around these parts, and this year's event is theamed to Nature's Fury, with each trail incorporating the theme.
A Petrified Forest is a home grown community attraction, offering three intensely horrifying scare trails set in a genuinely spooky forest location covering around 2 acres. The trails are long, with uniquely themed rooms and awesome scares around every turn.
The annual Halloween event continues to grow ever year, and now offer a whole night out with great music, food concessions, local art vendors, laser tag, backstage tours, and so much more.

The Haunting of River Ranch, located at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo takes guests on new experiences and calls upon the spirits for a witching good time. Beat the heat and play with freaks and frights in the Spook N Splash select night party event. Don your leather jacket, corset, and fishnet tights, because on June 4th, DeLand Pride and the Absent Friends are bringing the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” back to the Athens Theatre after much “antici… pation.” The evening will consist of a pre-show featuring several DeLand Pride drag performances (bring those $ bills for tips!) and the Absent Friends (with emcee Robert Baldwin) with their hysterical Rocky-virgin initiation fun, the ever-popular 1975 20th Century Fox film, live shadow cast (in other words, costumed actors portraying the movie while it is being screened above), dancing, and audience participation (with call backs and prop bags).
