The City of Kissimmee's popular Movie in the Park returns this weekend with KUA once again presenting the popular community event at Kissimmee Lakefront Park.

Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will once again host a free Movie in the Park event on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Veterans Lawn of Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
After a break for summer, KUA’s annual Movie in the Park series is back, held on the first Friday of every month, beginning October through March.
The evening will feature the family movie A Minecraft Movie, shown on a giant 50-foot screen. The movie will also feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
A Minecraft Movie is based on the 2011 video game Minecraft by Mojang Studios. It stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Sebastian Hansen with supporting roles by Jennifer Coolidge, Rachel House, Jemaine Clement (in a dual role), and Hess.
In the film, four misfits from the fictional town of Chuglass, Idaho are pulled through a portal into a cubic world, and must embark on a quest back to the real world with the help of an "expert crafter" named Steve.
KUA is celebrating its 40th Anniversary and in addition to the free movie, guests can enjoy free hot dogs and cake bites from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
KUA’s inflatable Kids Power Zone also returns, plus, everyone can enjoy free popcorn, free crafts, free photo booth, prize giveaways, food trucks, and a Touch a Truck event!
An adult must accompany children participating in inflatable activities to sign a waiver. To sign the waiver ahead of time, visit kua.com/waiver.

Attendees can also learn how to lower their monthly electric bills and can receive on-site energy audits by visiting the KUA Green Team at the utility’s SunCatcher Solar Energy Trailer. Children can also learn how to enhance energy efficiency in their own homes through a lesson on energy efficiency.
Activities begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the movie at sunset. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 90,000 customers in Osceola County, Florida. For more information, visit www.kua.com.
