A Day of Four Sunsets presents a new body of work by Miami-based artist Dennis Scholl, exploring the poetics of space exploration through assemblages of NASA memorabilia. The exhibition takes its title from astronaut John Glenn’s experience of witnessing four sunsets as he orbited Earth in 1962, evoking themes of time, memory, and the sublime vastness of the cosmos.

Each year twenty-four professionally-acclaimed plein air artists will paint at the Polasek Museum and at other locations throughout Winter Park and Orlando. Art lovers are invited to watch the artists at work and attend free painting demonstrations. Artwork created during the Winter Park Paint Out will be on display as soon as they are completed and dropped off at the museum’s wet room. These wonderful paintings will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Museum.

Month of Jazz at Timucua Arts Foundation: Anthony Stanco, a trumpet virtuoso from Southeast Michigan, draws from Detroit’s rich musical legacy, mentored by Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. A seasoned performer, he leads his quintet and has toured internationally, performing at venues like the Java Jazz Festival and Cairo Jazz Club. Stanco served as a cultural ambassador for the U.S. State Department, sharing his music from South Africa to Indonesia.

Jeff Rupert is a Yamaha performing artist, record producer, recording artist, freelance tenor saxophonist, full-time professor, Director of Jazz Studies at UCF. He leads the Flying Horse Big Band, and maintains a busy recording and performing schedule with his quartet, and as an in-demand sideman and band leader with a variety of notables. A gifted composer and arranger, Rupert is well heeled in jazz traditions from his many experiences over the years playing with greats like Benny Golson, Maynard Ferguson, and Kevin Mahogany, to name a few. The local Blueberry industry is celebrated during the peak of Blueberry season in Lake County at this annual event. Local Blueberry Farms will sell berries freshly picked from their farms along with fresh blueberry products. Crafters and vendors, live music, blueberry beer and wine and a daily blueberry pie eating contest will round out the event. The festival is FREE to attend. Discounts to local U-Pick blueberry farms will be offered during the weekend.

The 41st Melbourne Art Festival will once again be held at beautiful Wickham Park in Melbourne, FL April 25 & 26, 2026.
