An Addax has given birth to a beautiful baby girl at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Mom Lavender delivered her baby a little earlier than expected, but keepers were delighted by the surprise. The calf is healthy and already bonding with mom on the savanna.
Births like these are made possible thanks to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan, ensuring the responsible breeding of animals in managed care like the critically endangered addax.
