Entrance Sign installed ahead of May opening for Pipeline: The Surf Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando are getting ready to open the park's latest coaster, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, and we now have a big sign that's it's opening soon!



Pipeline: The Surf Coaster is set to open in May, ahead of the busy Memorial Day Weekend crowds, and SeaWord have now installed the entrance sign as work continues to ready the coaster for the opening.

Pipeline: The Surf Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando

Pipeline: The Surf Coaster which will open in May is a standing surf themed coaster designed by B & M, who have built three other coasters at SeaWorld Orlando: Kraken, Mako and Manta.


Pipeline is a long coaster, featuring 2,950 feet of track and we can't wait to catch the wave when this highly anticipated new stand up coaster launches this spring.

Pipeline is a first-of-its-kind surf coaster where you will experience the rush of launching 110 feet up and sensing every bank and curve as though you’re really riding the waves, thanks to an inventive harness that keeps you secure while giving you unparalleled freedom of movement.

When it opens in May Pipeline: The Surf Coaster will reach top speeds of around 60 mph.


Each rider will get the “rush of cutting through waves” as they race up to heights of 110 feet in the air along 2,950 feet of track.

Pipeline features a unique surfboard ride vehicle will give riders an immersive experience when their seats rise and fall to mimic the sensation of riding on a wave.

Riders will encounter the rush of hanging loose on a massive wave while in a standing position as the coaster sends them through several gnarly twists and turns with five airtime movements and an innovative 'wave curl' inversion and maximum speed of 60 MPH.


With a projected 54" rider height, this first-of-its-kind coaster is ideal for thrill enthusiasts everywhere.


The coaster is inspired by the different surfing cultures found around the world, including California and Australia, and the theme will be incorporated not only on the attraction but throughout the entire attraction area.

Then the new coaster opens, it will be SeaWorld Orlando's seventh coaster.
