Modeled after the island’s popular “Fiesta de la Calle San Sebastián” festival held at the end of the holiday season in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, La Sanse Takes Orlando gathers amazing musical talent, delicious food and artisanal goods in an inviting, family-friendly festival atmosphere.

This year's La Sense Takes Orlando takes place on Saturday January 24, 2026.

La Fiesta de la Calle San Sebastian has a long and storied history. It began in 1954 in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico as an effort by the local church to fund critical street repairs at the center of the city’s historic Viejo San Juan neighborhood.

Since then, this vibrant street festival has become a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Its electric carnival atmosphere overtakes the historic blue cobblestone streets of el Viejo San Juan with music, good and outsized “cabezudos,” larger than life puppets of important people and politicians.

This major event is a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture, inspired by the traditional Calle San Sebastián festivities in Puerto Rico. It is completely free for the community, allowing families to enjoy an authentic cultural experience at no cost, while also creating a welcoming environment for brands to engage meaningfully with attendees.
