Disney's Blizzard Beach to remain closed through until 2024 as cold temperatures continue in Central Florida

As we countdown to 2024, Orlando is facing extremely low temperatures this NYE Weekend, forcing the theme parks to close their water parks, and now alt Disney World is extending its closure into the New Year.

Orlando is facing a very cold end to the year, as temperatures continue to be below average. Yesterday, Friday and continuing into today, Saturday, daytime highs are only in the low 60s, with nighttime lows dropping into the upper 40s.

For Sunday, New Year's Eve, daytime temperatures will struggle to reach the 60s, with temperatures dropping into the 30s as the clock strikes midnight!

Disney's Blizzard Beach water park has already been closed since Thursday, December 28, and was due to reopen New Year's Day, January 1, but as cold temperatures are set to continue, the closure has now been extended through January 2, 2024, with the park set to reopen on Wednesday, January 3.
